About leather and vinyl cleaning
Will cleaning remove scratches or damage?
No. Cleaning takes out dirt and oil, not scratches or tears. It is the first step, and it is also how we see how much of what looks like damage is actually just a surface film. Repair and recolouring are separate work on top.
How often should leather be conditioned?
Once or twice a year is enough for most pieces, more often for anything that sits in direct sun or near a heat vent. Conditioning after cleaning, never before, since it can seal dirt in rather than out.
Do you clean car interiors and boats as well as furniture?
Yes. The leather and vinyl behave the same whether it is a sofa arm, a handbag, a car seat or boat seating.
